In 1937 a Primary School namely Happy School was started in the tenanted premises bearing no. 1226, Mahal Sarai, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi by Late Padam Chand and Late Krishna Jas Rai and Later on the management was taken over by Late Bhagwant Kishore, Late Prem Jas Rai, Late Tej Singh and Late Pratap Singh.

In 1956 the school was taken over by the society namely Krishna Jas Roy Educational Society duly registered under Society Act having its address at B-13 Kalindi Colony New Delhi-110065.

Later on step by step the school was upgraded to Sr. Secondary level. The Sr. Secondary section is an aided school. In 1967 the permanent recognition was accorded to the school from 1^st class to 12^th class. At present the school is not getting the aid while the status of the school is of an aided school. For restoration of Aid a writ is pending Hon`ble High Court of Delhi.

With regard to infrastructure the school has spacious and well ventilated class rooms, Library, Science Laboratory, Students tables and chairs and other office furniture. All utilities such as electricity, filtered cold drinking water. Separate toilets for boys and girls and good sanitation system. Facilities of internet and telephone are available. Open court for small games is available in front. The building is situated in the walled city of Delhi.  The building is safe as per the certificate given by the MCD approved Engineer, adequate fire equipments are fitted. CCTV cameras are fitted for security purpose.
